Behr Iron & Metal primarily supplies its consumers—steel mills and foundries—by sourcing and preparing scrap from our own facilities. However, when appropriate, we will broker scrap from other carefully vetted sources with which we have close associations. Whether brokered or Behr produced scrap, shipping on time, to specification, is paramount. We also take pride in supplying on a consistent basis in all markets. The brokerage function has been part of our supply stream since the company’s founding. Therefore, we have an experienced staff to handle the logistics of brokered transactions.
