CONSTRUCTION/DEMOLITION
An added component of the Behr Iron & Metal companies is G & M Construction. We originally hired this company to construct vinyl lined concrete pads for the storage of oily industrial scrap at our Rockford facility (see environmental compliance). After several years of that work, as well as some building construction, we reasoned it would be cheaper to acquire the company than pay them on a job by job basis.
G & M specializes in concrete work, steel, pre-cast concrete erection, pile driving and machinery moving. We also added an opposite component—from construction to destruction—demolition. We have an experienced team whose tradesmen collectively have a long history in the building trades that vary from constructing concrete buildings to building bridges. If you can put them up, you can take them down; we have long experience in demolition, also. Our client list includes Fortune 500 companies, as well as small manufacturers.
